Certification and qualification activities are typically performed towards the end of the design process. However, at WEC we believe certification and qualification should be considered from the start.
Certification and qualification activities are typically performed towards the end of the design process. However, at WEC we believe certification and qualification should be considered from the start.
Requirements need to be defined ‘up front’ before work begins in order to properly inform the design process and ensure that necessary validation and verification activities are planned into the programme life cycle.
WEC believes in regular liaison with clients to minimises the risk of project delays and expensive re-work. This ensures that requirements are understood and accepted and that applicable means of compliance, and necessary qualification activities, are regularly reviewed and agreed throughout the project, not left to the final stages of the design process.
Our engineering specialists have supported the certification and qualification of new designs and major modifications at vehicle platform and sub-system level, as well as supporting and overseeing the qualification of individual items of equipment to meet specific client requirements.
Every one of our knowledgeable, specialist engineers produce work of the highest standard, in line with out robust processes and rigorous in-house Quality Management System. This ensures consistency of delivery and that everything we do complies with the strictest industry certification and accreditation requirements. Whilst championing a ‘quality built in approach’ we also recognise the need to be adaptable and agile to overcome challenges and, put simply, get the job done.
Our experience not only enables us to define applicable requirements, but to also understand the intent of the requirements, enabling us to determine the most relevant means to achieve certification.
