WEC is very proud indeed to have sponsored our Programme Manager Sean Morson on his recent cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society. Sean completed the 980 mile trip in 9 days, averaging 109 miles per day with a total climb equivalent to 1.6 Mount Everests. Sean endured some difficult weather along the way, including 50mph cross-winds on day 8 but of course persevered to deliver to programme.
Our congratulations to Sean on this outstanding achievement and for raising a significant sum in support of such a worthy cause.
The Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia today. Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.
